( CHARACTER INFORMATION )

Name/Work Name: Inigo / work name: Azure
Canon: Fire Emblem: Awakening
Canon Point: In the final chapters of the game, just after Grima is resurrected, but before going to defeat him.
AU/CRAU: N/A
Age: There's no actual canon age for any of the children in the game, so I'll ballpark him around 18.
History: General info and history can be found here.
Personality: Upon first meeting, Inigo gives little beyond the impression of an outgoing, sweet-talking skirtchaser. Granted, for the most part, that is a large part of his outward personality, and he generally enjoys acting as such. He's lively and seemingly carefree, often teasing the other kids and members of the campaign, and usually smiling. He's a touch vain as well, touting his good looks occasionally and trying very hard to seem attractive to women. The first time you see him, he's flirting with a girl in a village he's trying to protect, and grows dismayed at not being able to have tea with her after you rescue the town. Nearly all of his supports with the women in the party are flirtatious, or focus on his lack of luck in actually successfully wooing any of the women he tries to put the moves on. Despite all of his bravado, he's terrible at actually attracting any of the girls he tries to hit on, and ends up getting frustrated and even crying when it goes poorly for him. Most of his teammates put up with him and his moods as much as they can, awkwardly trying to cheer him up or even flat out telling him to shut up, usually.

Beyond the skirtchasing, he is actually a fairly kind, shy young man, who tries to hide behind the flirting and cheerful personality he presents. While he by no means hates being a flirt, he does feel like he has to be upbeat and optimistic, as well as appearing "invincible" to the people around him; as the future he comes from is very desolate, and the few people left are literately fighting for their survival against a terrifying foe. Inigo has spent years trying to protect the people around him in his future, and they grew to rely on him, even though he himself was terrified and scared near constantly. He adopted being cheerful and upbeat to keep their spirits up, and reveals to his father in their supports that this is tough, but he tries his best. He protects people primarily with little in return, and post game is stated as feeling fulfilled protecting people and doing what he can for them.

As stated, Inigo is also actually fairly shy, a trait he shares with his mother, Olivia. He gets flustered fairly easily, and if pushed too far, will cry or yell, getting upset and blushing when under stress or embarrassed. He has a low self esteem, further proving a lot of his bravado is just an act of sorts, although he's trying to believe it himself. Various supports with the others will show him bursting into tears when he's outright embarrassed or frustrated, such as yelling at Gerome and Brady for attracting the attention of all the women, rather than his original ploy of making himself look good by comparison. He gets embarrassed when confronted about things he's shy about as well, which can range from his worries to just messing up in front of someone. One case is in the fact he actually aspires to be a dancer, like his mother was, but also shares the same kind of stage fright she did. He tries to dance in secret, but gets caught by various members of the campaign, although unknowingly until Olivia reveals she wants to see him dance as well. He gets extremely flustered about it, and tries repeatedly to avoid her and her hiding places until she finally manages to just walk by as he's practicing. The dancing is also important to him as Olivia was teaching him before she was killed in his future, and never finished the final dance she was teaching him. He tells her he danced at her grave, wishing she could've been there to see and guide him as he did when he was younger. Strangely enough, his flirting is also because of his mother, as she told him to talk to girls to build up his confidence, since he was terribly shy and withdrawn as a child. He took it a bit too much to heart, and now flirts with nearly every girl he sees.

Overall, Inigo isn't exactly the most balanced, nor are most of the children in the game. He suffers from low self esteem, being terribly shy, and from the grief of losing his parents at a young age. He's quite the playful flirt though, and throughly enjoys being one.

Debt: To protect his parents and to defeat Grima. Seeing as they both died in his timeline, and Grima took over, he wants to make sure it doesn't happen again in this one. Since he's got that terrible low self esteem of his, even up to the end he probably isn't sure of their victory, and the idea of doing some minimal work for a guarantee sounds great.

Alternatively, actually being attractive to girls and not being so embarrassed all of the time works, too.

Suitability: Inigo won't exactly be happy at the entire situation, to say the least. At first, he'll probably vocally complain about it, and seem like he's not going to willingly do anything in terms of work. However, he would work hard in all actuality, especially if aware of his debt, or knowing that he has a goal to achieve in the end. As stated in his personality, he actually doesn't mind working for free, and seems to enjoy helping people out, so he will probably actually excel at whatever task he's put to. Still, he's a whiner. Sorry about that.

Previous Game Info: N/A

Inventory: His basic outfit, a sword, a healing tonic, and most likely some money and other trinkets. More importantly, however, he also has his mother's wedding ring, which is extremely important to him, as it's the only thing he has left of her.

Abilities, Strengths, and Weaknesses: Inigo is actually a fairly skilled swordsman, appearing as a mercenary when you first find him. He's apparently helped and protected people in his future as well, which is not anything to sneeze at, especially considering most people are being attacked by the canon equivalent of zombies or wandering mercenaries.

Physically, he doesn't have any specific weaknesses, other than those of a 18 year old guy and swordsman. He's hilariously shy and awkward when pushed too far, which can lead to him yelling or crying at the drop of a hat. He also blushes easily, just like his mother, which just further fuels his embarrassment.

Inigo is also a decently talented dancer, which is something he tries to hide from everyone, including his mother. If pushed about it, he'll grow shy and embarrassed, and try to flee or hide - or at least change the subject. He also puts flowers in the barracks, which is a reference to his paralogue title ("A Man for Flowers"), as well as his unmarried ending ("Flower Picker"). He probably likes flowers, although it's not exactly expanded upon in canon.

( SAMPLE )

Characterization Sample: Inigo maybe wasn't the best choice for this line of work - after all, flowers weren't exactly common in a future that had mostly dead grass and trees - but he found himself working at a shop that sold them to passing spirits. Most of his first few days were spent being flustered and trying to figure out the names of the different flowers, some of them new to him, and some of them just outright strange. (Really, what were some of these?! He'd never even seen them in the books back home!)

But, it wasn't quite that bad. It was a touch easier than the work he saw going on in the bathhouse, for instance, where employees looked haggard from the constant cleaning and upkeep it entailed. But, instead of being knee deep in soapy water, Inigo was trapped under dirt and piles of and piles of seeds and growing flowers and plants, getting dirty instead of clean. The days he got to man the shop were far more up to his speed, especially when he got to flirt with any of the fairer customers that came along.

"Hello there, buttercup," Inigo greeted, smiling warmly at the woman who just walked into the shop. She spared him a glance, but quickly went around to ignoring him and browsing the shop, barely talking to him the whole time, despite his best efforts.

Sighing and leaning against the counter, he planted his face against the countertop. This sucked. Even in a completely new place, he still didn't have any luck with the ladies. Sniffling, he went about to fixing up the flowers nearby him, thinking that at least they liked him.

"Yeah, you're gorgeous today, aren't you," he told some irises near the door, rearranging them to look their best. "You're going to get all of the ladies today, aren't you!" Well, maybe he was more trying to give himself the ego boost, but that was besides the point. He kept talking to the flowers until he heard some giggling behind him, making him freeze and feel the heat rise to his face.

Oh, gods. Someone had to be watching, didn't they. Well, maybe if he turned on the charm, he could save himself some trouble, right?

"H-Hello! Welcome to the shop!"

Or his voice could crack. That, too.
